What you need to know about the five proposed modifications to the hours of service rule
Recently, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published a notice of proposed rulemaking updates to hours of service rules. The proposal includes modifications to five components of the current hours of service rules: short-haul exemption, adverse driving, 30-minute rest break, sleeper berth time period and the pause.
